Girl, that is exactly what I wanted to know… Let me tell you what happend … I saw how a group of girls bullying another girl on her looks. They were laughing at her say mean comments. It was pretty painful to see. On that moment I asked myself this very same Question as the Quote that I picked for tonight:
“What Gives You The Right To Judge Who is Pretty & Who is Ugly?“
Why does anyone think that they got the right to judge somebody on his appearance? And why does someone such a thing … That people nowadays no longer have love and respect for each other is very clear to me … Yet, I amaze myself how heartless people can be facing each other. Don’t they realize that they hurt people? They do not see the pain that I see? Or don’t they just do not want to see? Or they just don’t care? Is it insecurity or jealousy or they want to be “Cool” among their friends. Maybe that is what motivated someone to do this to someone else? They don’t realize that they can make a big impact with their words. I saw the girl breakndown … It was painful to see.. believe me.

The girls thought they were funny, they giggle until they saw that I looked at them with a decried look. I mean seriously? What is the point? I can’t change nothing about it and I realize that.. but I do have a blog to which I hope girlz who do so be aware of their behavior … I’ve decided to write a “Note” and I hope that it helps to at least make them just to think about it. ..So I decided to write a letter..

Girl, that is exactly wat ik mezelf gisteren afvroeg. Ik zag hoe een groepje meiden een ander meisje afkraakte op haar uiterlijk. Ze stonden haar uit te lachen en het was best pijnlijk om te zien. En op dat moment stelde ik mezelf precies deze same Question als deze Quote:

Waar haalt iemand eigenlijk die lef vandaan? En waarom doet iemand zoiets… Dat mensen tegenwoordig geen liefde en respect meer hebben voor hun medemens is niet iets nieuws… Maar toch blijf ik mezelf verbazen hoe harteloos mensen kunnen zijn tegenover elkaar. Zien ze dan niet wat het met een ander doet op zo’n moment? Zien ze niet de pijn dat ik zie? Of willen ze het gewoonweg niet zien? Or they just don’t care? Als ik naar ze kijk dan denk aan onzekerheid of jaloezie of het stoer willen zijn tussen vriendinnen. Ze beseffen echter niet dat ze bij een ander in dit geval bij het meisje een flinke impact kunnen maken met hun woorden. Ik zag het meisje breken…En dat was niet leuk om te zien.
De meiden dachten dat ze grappig waren, ze stonden te giechelen en te doen totdat ze zagen dat ik ze boos aankeek. I mean seriously? Ik liet duidelijk merken dat ze niet funny waren. What is the point? Gelukkig was het meisje snel aan de beurt en kon ze snel afrekenen. Lekker weg van die meiden! Ik kan er niet veel aan veranderen maar ik heb wel een blog waarmee ik hoop girlz te bereiken die dit soms doen…Ik heb besloten een “briefje” te schrijven en ik hoop dat het helpt om ze tenminste aan het denken te zetten…

I’m sure that you are a beautiful lady with beautiful qualities. I’m sure that you know what is good and what is bad. I also think you probably know what effect you words to a others. I wonder: would you have a reason? Girl even if you got a “reason” I don’t want to hear it. Why? Because there is no good reason to hurt someone intentionally. Don’t you know the power of words? Well let me explain it to you … With words you can build someone but you can also break someone. It can leave deep very deep scars. Maybe you don’t care but the girl does and her parents care.. It will hurt her parents to see the pain of their daughter to zien…it hurts so.. Because they can not decrease the pain you have caused. Is worth it to hurt someone just for you moment to be “cool” for you girlfriends? You moment of being “funny” can leave a scar forever.

Ik ben er zeker van dat je een mooie dame bent met mooie kwaliteiten. Ik ben er zeker van dat je weet wat goed is en wat slecht. Ik denk ook dat je vast wel weet wat voor effect jou woorden heeft op een ander. Zou je een reden hebben? Girl even if you got a “reason” I don’t want to hear it. Er is geen goede reden voor het opzettelijk pijn doen van een ander. Is het allemaal waard om een ander te kwetsen voor jou momentje om “cool” zijn met jou vriendinnen? Jou momentje van “grappig zijn” kan een ander voorgoed met een litteken te laten.

Cool zijn is niet het afkraken van een ander. Cool zijn is iemand met respect behandelen en je vriendinnen corrigeren in plaats van ondersteunen als je ziet hoe ze een ander afkraken. Yes Girl! Dat is pas ben je ECHT Cool!
Iedereen is mooi op hun eigen manier and nobody has the right to judge who is ugly or beautiful.
So yes Girl, of dit brief helpt weet ik niet. Ik weet in ieder geval dat ik wereld er niet mee kan veranderen…helaas. Maar ik hoop dat het tenminste één iemand aan het denken zet dan ben ik er blij mee!

I loved your post! You definitely right, no one has the right to judge someone else on their looks. I was teased back in my middle schools days and those same people have reached out and tried to get back in my good graces…lol funny how things turn out. You forgive and move on. They end up condemning themselves after all and see what you have grown into later, then become so amazed on how beautifully of a person your are.

Sadly, bullying is not something that came into fashion. The world didn’t get worse nowadays. It’s whether one has become more aware of what has already been there. Some things in the human condition will not change and we have yet to evolve. There’s a saying that “children can be cruel”. And it’s so true for those who have been a target by other kids. While a person can march to the beat of their own drum, it’s discouraged — by one’s own parents, family, classmates, co-workers, what have you. Being “unique” means you run the risk of someone deciding that your being unique is not being part of the pack and you will be picked on. It’s sad, it’s just the way it is, and will continue to be as long as the human desire “to be popular” continues to be strong.

This definitely hit home. As a woman we are judged from the color of our skin to what clothes we where. I ask that same question all the time..who gave you the right to determine who is pretty and ulgy?? Who even determines that?? In the society we live in today we are all being categorized as either pretty or ugly and me personally I hate it. Im proud of how I look and the color of my skin. You can catch me on a bad day with a bonnet on my head and I still look pretty lol.

Yessss girl me too! I also hate it when people act like that. Everybody is beautiful on their own way. Everybody is unique and that’s a beautiful thing. It’s sad how people bring each other down or even think that they got the right to give somebody the feeling that they are less… I think that people don’t realize how this kind of actions can hurt someone… yess Girl! Always be proud of the color of your skin! Ohwwwww Yesss!😀😀 Everybody needs to embrace the color of their skin it is so beautiful to have a mix of different cultures around the world.😍

Yess Bullying is something that always was there I agree but I also think that bullying is a choice. And even I know it’s always there it hurts to be a witness of bullying. And it hurts even more because we can make it go away…your right some things in human condition will not change. Well said!
